Life-changing eye-opener about how your brain works
"It's not typical you. It's typical stress!"
Too often I hear someone say or do something ugly, saying "typical me, to be so stupid, to make messes, to be late, ... typical me? What do you mean "typical me? I notice that a lot of people
who they are identify with their stress behaviors, with
what they do in stress.
Instead of saying "in stress I act irritable, am in a hurry and have no space," I hear "I am an irritable person, never have time or space.
You
pretending to be your stress behavior, while only
so does Because your brain is in stress. In doing so, you undermine yourself, and that's not okay because that doesn't make things better. You then berate yourself: 'how can you be so stupid, inattentive, absent-minded, ...'. Or you give others a hard time. Because they know it's not you, that you only act that way when you're bothered.
So you are okay but in stress you do not act okay because then your brain is not working properly.
